The Bona Fide Life Part 3

The constant assault of the world’s tensions has caused people, without realizing it, to consent in their innermost hearts to accept we live in a hopeless situation. – Cory Smithee

Romans 15:13 (ESV) 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Romans 15:13 (NIV) 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 – God, hope, fill, joy, peace, trust, him.

Penned Truth: Trusting God= Being filled with Hope, Joy, and Peace

Isaiah 26:3 (ESV) 3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Two Points of Truth

#1 We tell people that God is light and in him is no darkness; trust Him.

#2 We tell people He is a consuming fire; it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God; trust Him.

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.- Corrie Ten Boom

**The greater product is “overflowing hope.”

Romans 15:13 (NIV) … so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let me use two different seas Israel to make a point.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) 5 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

Final Statement: No matter the world’s dismissal of hope. The early church, called the Way, overflowed with hope because they trusted the God of hope. So can you! Don’t let anything prevail upon you to stop being the bearer of the light of Christ Jesus, His ambassador to a darkened lost world. Trust God: peace, hope, and joy will abide with you. When you do, people will draw closer to Jesus through you—providing the only hope that the world has.
