Psalms 119:1-3 NLT
1 Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD.
2 Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.
3 They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths.
Nehemiah 8:9-12 NKJV 9 And Nehemiah, who was the [a]governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the LORD your God; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law.
10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
11 So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day is holy; do not be grieved.” 12 And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them.
Charles Spurgeon: You must find joy in God, or you will not find joy at all.
Hebrews 12:2 NLT We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
Psalm 28:7 NLT 7 The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Romans 15:13 NLT 13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hebrews 11:6 NLT 6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Joel Osteen: Get your joy back. When you have your joy, you’re showing God that you trust Him. When the enemy brings trouble, he expects you to fall apart. But when you say, “Yet will I rejoice,” you give the enemy a nervous breakdown. If he can’t steal your joy, he can’t defeat you.
Richelle Smithee: True joy is so much deeper than emotion; it is a deep abiding strength that will cause us to be strong and courageous. True joy will produce many victories in our lives.
