Time To Celebrate
Celebrate
Penned Truth: Real celebration is an overflow of joy rooted in God’s goodness.
Psalms 32:11 (TPT) So, celebrate the goodness of God! He shows this kindness to everyone who is his. Go ahead—shout for joy, all you upright ones who want to please him!
Penned Truth: We find in scripture that most celebration is allied with the acts of God.
Psalm 145:7 (NIV) 7 They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
Worship
Penned Truth: You and I were made to worship God! Our central function is to glorify and worship Him.
C. S. Lewis said, “In the process of being worshiped, God communicates his presence to men.”
David Jeremiah quote, “If you don’t worship, you’ll never experience God.”
Psalm 99:5 (ESV) Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!
Psalms 100:1-2 (NLT) 1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Worship the Lord with gladness.
Honor
Shelena Griffiths once said, “A pure heart is nothing more than being real with God, and not pretending to honor and adore Him. Will you do this? Give God praise freely? (Revelation 4:10–11)
Penned Truth: Any blessing you do not return to God in praise will eventually turn into pride.
Penned Truth: Honor originates in our hearts and refers to the value we personally place on something or someone.
