God loves you, and His plan for you is always good. And that changes EVERYTHING!

If you missed part 1, I strongly encourage you to find it in your email feed and read it. I want to begin with two of four things you should not do when things don’t go as planned.  I will share the other two next Wednesday.  Now 2 of 4 things not to do:

1. DON’T GIVE IN TO ANGER.

Every one of us, no matter our personality, can be lured into getting angry when things don’t go our way. We need to understand that anger creates postponements to the outcome we want.  James 1:19 says; Anger does not achieve the righteousness of God.  Notice: anger doesn’t ‘achieve’…

Achieve defined: successfully bring about or reach (a desired objective, level, or result).

When you realize it won’t achieve anything, anger can’t hold on to you and have control over you!  We can’t control who knocks at our door, but we can control who we let in.  The enticement to live in anger diminishes when we know God is going to work it out for our good. And He will!

2. DON’T QUIT.

If your prayer isn’t answered, what’s your reaction?  You might say, “Well God, I guess I missed It.”  Did you?  Maybe not. Are you standing on a promise for it from scripture? The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:14-15 that if we ask anything according to His will, we can know that we have what we ask for.  It’s yours.  Never give in or give up!  The truth may be that it just hasn’t shown up yet!  Resist the impulse to give up, by knowing its God’s job (and His promise) to bring it to pass!
