Part 3 Positive Impact

Jared C. Wilson- Once upon a time, a king came to earth to tell stories, and the stories contained the mystery of eternal life.

Penned Truth: Just like Jesus, if I tell my stories, I can leave a lasting impact on others for generations to come.

Quote Unknown- The courage it takes to share your story might be the very thing someone else needs to open their heart to hope.

Luke 8:38–39 (ESV) 38 The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

Psalm 78:4 (ESV) 4 We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.

Acts 22:3–5 (ESV) 3 “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as all of you are this day. 4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women, 5 as the high priest and the whole council of elders can bear me witness. From them I received letters to the brothers, and I journeyed toward Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to Jerusalem to be punished.

Penned Truth: We live in stories because people like to hear them.

The Sower: Mark 4:1-20

The Great Feast: Luke 14:16-24

The Rich Man: Luke 12:13-21

Lowest Seat: Luke 14:7-14

The Talent: Matthew 25:14-30

Acts 1:8 (ESV) 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Penned Truth: As fish live in water so we live in the stories we hear and the ones we tell.

Psalm 107:2 (ESV) We have nothing to give of value, but He asks for us to tell others about Him. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble.

Final Thought: It’s important to remember that the impact of your story lies in authenticity rather than crafting a perfectly polished narrative. Genuine experiences of both successes and struggles, along with conveying Jesus’s compassion, resonate with people. The key is to be real, not artificial since authenticity is far more powerful than any well-chosen words or recounted events. You can do this; you have the Holy Spirit within you. Tell your stories. Begin by writing them down.
