Community worship brings together God’s word, prayer, and fellowship. Together they become part of one of the most important things we do. Community worship plays an essential role in rekindling our spiritual life and keeping it burning. So it’s important to distinguish between what benefits might provoke us to be regular in community worship, and what focus our minds and hearts should pursue at that moment.
According to Don Whitney, “There’s an element of worship and Christianity that cannot be experienced in private worship or by watching worship. There are some graces and blessings that God gives only in the ‘meeting together’ with other believers.”
Over the next several weeks, I’m going to give you six reasons not to miss community worship at church.
1. Awakening
Many times we come into community worship feeling like we have this spiritual fog that keeps us from hearing God. Your personal journey through the potholes and flip-flopping of the week, the hard collisions of real life can befuddle you and keep you from hearing God. We need a place, a moment in time to clear our heads, recalibrate our spirits, and jumpstart our hearts.
Martin Luther found community worship powerful in awakening his spiritual fire: “At home, in my house, there is no warmth or vigor in me, but in the Church when the multitude is gathered together, a fire is kindled in my heart, and it breaks its way through.”
Listen, instead of staying away from community worship at church when you feel spiritually lethargic, gather yourself up and connect to precisely what you need more than ever, an awakening only community worship can bring.
Experience another Supernatural moment together that only a community of worship can bring. That moment where you enter a “Genuine Personal Worship Encounter” with Him. Don’t miss that moment, that moment where you enter that quiet, peaceful place in the shadow of Almighty God. That Supernatural reality of community worship when the Church, who is you, comes together as one. North Elevation Church can provide you with the much needed community worship that can awaken and rekindle the fire in your heart.
God has something personal to share with you tomorrow during worship. Don’t Miss It!
