Part 1 Nahum
Hebrews 12:1-2 (CEV) 1 So then, with endurance, let’s also run the race that is laid out in front of us, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us. Let’s throw off any extra baggage, get rid of the sin that trips us up, 2 and fix our eyes on Jesus, faith’s pioneer and perfecter….
C.S. Lewis- There is but one good; that is God. Everything else is good when it looks to Him and bad when it turns from Him.
Proverbs 4:25-27 (AMPC) 25 Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you. 26 Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright. 27 Turn not aside to the right hand or to the left; remove your foot from evil.

Cory’s Sticky Notes
1. I must persevere through daily challenges in God’s word and stay on the path.
2. When I am struggling looking backward, I must cling to Yahweh anyway and, stay on the path.
3. When life hits me hard, I must trust Yahweh anyway and stay on the path.
4. When I am weary, I must hold onto Yahweh anyway and stay on the path.
5. Perseverance is easier when I fall in humility on my knees consistently and stay on the path.
6. Persistent perseverance keeps asking, keeps knocking, keeps coming and stays on the path.
Penned Truth: The cost of not staying on the path is more than we can afford.
Galatians 6:9 (AMPC) 9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
Penned Truth: The cost associated with an inconsistent Christian Walk, straying on and off the path, takes its toll on us and those around us.
Proverbs 4:25-27 (TLB) 25 Look straight ahead; don’t even turn your head to look. 26 Watch your step. Stick to the path and be safe. 27 Don’t sidetrack; pull back your foot from danger.
Final Statement: One of the significant challenges Christians face today is staying focused and maintaining the right course in a world filled with trials, temptations, interruptions, daily distractions, and deceptions. With all that, it can be easy to forget that the God of this world, the deceiver (Satan), is deliberately setting dangerous traps to mislead and deceive us. One final key to perseverance is to remain confident in God’s power. Ultimately, we do not persevere on our own; we persevere through the power of Christ at work within us. Are we fully surrendered?
