It’s Time to Move

Move – change position, go in specific direction, change of pace

You have to position yourself to receive what God is trying to show or tell you.  You can’t be afraid to move.  You can’t stay where you are. If you do, you may miss out on the healing you’ve been praying for, the promotion you’ve wanted, the salvation of the family member.

You have to move, you have to go; it will most of the time pull you out of your comfort zone, but it may just make a lasting impact on not only your life, but those around you.

         •        Move in faith and trust in Him

25 A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. 26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. 27 She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. 28 For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.

30 Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?”

31 His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’”

32 But he kept on looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”

Mark 5:25-34 NLT

Psalm 28:7 AMP

The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield;
My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.

I had to make a decision; stay in fear or move in faith and trust in Jesus

         •        Move out of your comfort zone

I was put in two different leadership positions over the years at my job with the city and let me tell you it pulled me way, way, waaaay out of my comfort zone…. See I am what you would call a loner, hermit, or wallflower, I’m the little girl that was so painfully shy that I would hide behind my mom and cover my face and head with her dress to hide from people when they said hi or looked in my direction.  Now I hide behind my husband HAHAHA.

I am more of a behind the scenes, make sure your ducks stay in a row, the caboose of the train person. I AM NOT the leader of the pack or a social butterfly…and guess what I do for a living?? I work in customer service… you must be social in that environment and a couple of years into my career I was made…yep, you guessed it…leader of the pack. I knew God was putting me in that position and that he would guide me I just had to trust Him that He would not put me a position and then not equip me to do it.

20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us[b] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 13:20-21 ESV

It came with a lot of challenges, growing and learning, but the rewards were life-long friendships, a deeper trust and reliance upon Him and movement to the department and position that I am in now that is more than I could have asked for.

Psalm 9:10 ESV

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn.
This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 AMP

PROV 18:10 (NLT) The name of the LORD is a strong fortress: the godly run to Him and are safe.
