It’s Necessary

Question for this morning: Why Is Romans 10:17 so important?

Answer: Missionaries are important.

Romans 10:17–18 (NLT) 17 So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. 18 But I ask, have the people of Israel actually heard the message?…

Penned Truth: Missionaries do what they do to spread God’s truth to the whole world.

Matthew 28:19–20 (NLT) 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you….

Penned Truth: Missionaries main reason for leaving their homes and families for foreign countries, is to preach the Gospel.

3 John 1:7–8 (NLT) 7 For they are traveling for the Lord, and they accept nothing from people who are not believers. 8 So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.

Penned Truth: We must support our missionaries so that we can be fellow workers for the spreading of the Gospel truth.

Romans 10:14 (NLT) 14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

Penned Truth: How will people hear unless someone is out there preaching the word of God to them?

Philippians 4:16–17 (NLT) 16 Even when I was in Thessalonica you sent help more than once. 17 I don’t say this because I want a gift from you. Rather, I want you to receive a reward for your kindness.

Penned Truth: God will bless you as I found in extraordinary ways as you are faithful to tithe and give offerings.

Special Note: We support our missionaries by believing in the importance and urgency of missions, trusting God will use them to change the world for Jesus.
