Matthew 27:35 (ESV) 35 And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots.
Matthew 27:38–40 (ESV) 38 Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left. 39 And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”
Jesus Christ, compassion- Pity and loving concern for the lowly and the needy. His words and deeds show God’s merciful and gracious nature in action.
Romans 12:1 (ESV) 1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Matthew 27:41–43 (ESV) 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, 42 “He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’
Matthew 27:44 (ESV) 44 And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way.

Luke 23:41-43 (ESV) 41 And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
Penned Truth: This thief repented and believed on Jesus Christ. The entire Bible teaches that we are saved by believing on Jesus Christ. That’s all we MUST do to be saved.
