Part 3 Freedom
John 1:1 (AMPC) 1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
John 1:14 (AMPC) 14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; . . .
Mark 9:31 (AMP) 31 because He was teaching His disciples [and preparing them for the future]. He told them, “The Son of Man is to be betrayed and handed over to men [who are His enemies], and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise [from the dead] three days later.”
Mark 14:12–17 (ESV) 12 And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, “Where will you have us go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?” 13 And he sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him, 14 and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 15 And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us.” 16 And the disciples set out and went to the city and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover. 17 And when it was evening, he came with the twelve.
John 13:4–5 (ESV) 4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
Mark 14:22–26 (ESV) 22 And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” 23 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. 24 And he said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. 25 Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” 26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Mark 14:32–36 (NKJV) 32 Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” 33 And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. 34 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.” 35 He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. 36 And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”
Matthew 26:42 (ESV) Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”
Leonard Ravenhill- Gethsemane is where He died; the cross is only the evidence.
Mark 14:41-42 (NKJV) 41 Then He came the third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42 Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.”
Mark 15:22–24 (ESV) 22 And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull). 23 And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him . . .
Isaiah 52:14–15 (NET) says, “(just as many were horrified by the sight of you) he was so disfigured he no longer looked like a man; his form was so marred he no longer looked human . . .”
2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV) says; “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Penned Truth: Jesus’ brutal physical suffering was augmented by His having to bear the guilt of our sins and die to pay our penalty.
Matthew 27:50–51 (NLT) 50 Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart,

Hebrews 10:20 (NLT) By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
Final Statement: God’s door to His house is always open to anyone at any time to receive the peace they seek. When Jesus died, the Father preached a sermon without words when He tore the curtain in two from top to bottom. It was God’s way of saying to you personally, “You are welcome to come into My house. Let nothing keep you away from Me! Do not let your sins, offenses, crimes, transgressions, whatever your list you may be keeping, keep you away from Me. Do not let the times you felt abused, rejected, abandoned, humiliated, or falsely accused keep you from me. I have opened a door so you can dwell with me, and I with you.
