Part 2 Freedom
Luke 19:35-38 (CEV) 35 Then they led the donkey to Jesus. They put some of their clothes on its back and helped Jesus get on. 36 And as he rode along, the people spread clothes on the road[c] in front of him. 37 When Jesus started down the Mount of Olives, his large crowd of disciples were happy and praised God because of all the miracles they had seen. 38 They shouted, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory to God.”
Mark 11:1-3 (NLT) 1 As Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. 2 “Go into that village over there,” he told them. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks, ‘What are you doing?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it soon.”
R. C. Sproul once said, “It is one thing to believe in God; it is quite another to believe God.”
Mark 11:4-6 (NLT) 4 The two disciples left and found the colt standing in the street, tied outside the front door. 5 As they were untying it, some bystanders demanded, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They said what Jesus had told them to say, and they were permitted to take it.
Heather Baxter said, “Trusting God enough to guide us down the best pathway of our life requires us to first surrender our life to him.”
Proverbs 3:5 (AMP) 5 “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.”
Romans 10:11 (AMPC) 11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.
1 Peter 2:6 (AMPC) 6 For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen ([a]honored), precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] shall never be disappointed or put to shame.
Penned Truth: In studying the Bible, I have found that we are repeatedly encouraged that if we genuinely “trust in the Lord,” we will not be disappointed.

Penned Final Statement: As we learn to trust God fully, in both the significant and the everyday moments, we can rest assured that He remains faithful to His word, is entirely in control, knows the outcome, and is sovereign. In my life, time after time, He has demonstrated His goodness and faithfulness. Trusting in God nurtures our faith, instills peace and security, and paves the way for a life led by His wisdom and love. Max Lucado reminds us, “God has shown Himself as a faithful father; now it is our turn to embrace our role as trusting children.”
