Part 2 Collision

Christian Definition-Life Verse: A specific Bible verse that a Christian believes is especially representative of his or her life’s purpose. Many Christians regard their life verse as an inspirational axiom or lifelong mission statement.

Possibly Jesus Life Verse: Mark 10:45 (NLT) 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Possibly Paul Life Verse: Romans 1:1 (NET) 1 From Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God.

My Purpose For Getting Up Verse: Ezekiel 44:23 (ESV) 23 They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

Ezekiel 44:23 (MSG) 23 “Their job is to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, to show them how to discern between unclean and clean.

My Personal Mission Statement: Do what is required or necessary to reveal the truth of the Gospel to people. Teach the whole counsel of the word of God and expose the difference between right and wrong in God’s eyes. Bring light where there is darkness and truth where there is an error—unpack sound doctrine, which has been corrupted. Fully expose the spirit and grace of God to what it is and what it is not. Furthermore, pull back the veil and expose what true worship is.

  • Helps Me Simplify Sharing The Good News Gospel

Matthew 28:19–20 (ESV) 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19–20 (MSG) 19 Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 20 Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”

Note 1- Helps Simplify The Journey

Note 2- Helps Simplify Your Story

1 Peter 1:18–19 (MSG) 18 Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God. It cost God plenty to get you out of that dead-end, empty-headed life you grew up in. 19 He paid with Christ’s sacred blood, you know….

Philemon 1:6 (ESV) 6 and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.

·       Gives Me A Daily Call To Action

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (NLT) 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

1 Timothy 6:12 (NLT) 12 Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.

Final Statement: A life verse and personal mission statement allow us to articulate our faith to those around us—our family, friends, coworkers, and, yes, within the church. The benefit is that there is clarity in our lives that comes with an LV and a PMS. Bringing up lots of scripture in a conversation may seem overwhelming, but a simple life verse opens the door.
