What Drives Us To Do What We Do?
#1- People: To see the actual message of Salvation presented; people healed emotionally and physically, people delivered from the issues that steal their peace of mind, and most of all, to restore hope to the hopeless.
#2- 1 Thess. 5:11 (MSG) So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, on one left out, no one left behind.
1 Corinthians 16:14 (NKJV) 14 Let all that you do be done with love.
1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Sticky Note: Ask God for grace not to run away, but to keep engaging people in love, especially to that hard-to-love person.

# 3- The 3R’s are at the heart of why we exist
1. Restore Fallen People
2. Resolve Conflict between people and families
3. Refocus the Church that it’s not about me, it’s about others
#4- Elevating Our Communities Through Hope, One Person At A Time
Matthew 18:12–14 (NKJV) 12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
#5- Freedom: We firmly believe we have a culture of grace built on the atoning work of Christ Jesus. With a focus on bringing freedom to the individual from oppression and every bondage without shame or condemnation.
Exodus 3:7–8 (NLT) 7 Then the LORD told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. 8 So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.

Statement of truth with two questions: Are we ready to accept that this is NEC’s calling and responsibility? Do we understand it will take all of us to carry out God’s calling to NEC?
Just as I feel it is so essential for us to cling to God’s vision for our lives, it is just as necessary to carry out the call of God released to our Community of Faith called NEC. We may call it the mission and vision; it’s our calling. A calling we must begin living out, our church’s purpose for existing. Your life and my life need to align with God’s ultimate plan for our life and the life of NEC.
