Unwrapped Peace

Penned Truth: The title Prince of Peace presents Jesus as the antidote to the peace everyone is searching for in the world.

Peace | Dictionary of Bible Themes- The state of harmony that is available to believers.

D.L. Moody- A great many people are trying to make peace, but that has already been done. God has not left it for us to do; all we have to do is to enter into it.

Penned Truth: If we seek peace elsewhere, outside of Jesus, we will experience a false peace that is superficial and temporary.

(2nd Time) D.L. Moody-

Romans 5:1 (ESV) 1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Penned Truth: Justification is not by tradition, church membership, works alone, goodness alone, or our family line.

Ephesians 2:6 (AMP) 6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us [a]joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Philippians 4:6-7 (AMP) 6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. 7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

Penned Truth: The enemy is attacking our peace, but God will guard it if we stay seated next to Him.

Romans 12:18 (JPNT) 18 As far as your responsibility goes, live at peace with everyone.

Penned Truth- God wants you and me to take the initiative to remove what is blocking the peace in our relationships. Sit down!

Ephesians 4:32 (AMP) 32 Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave [a]you.

John 16:33 (ESV) 33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Penned Statement: Peace is the state of harmony available to believers. No matter how much the world is without peace now, we can enjoy peace in God daily. Robert Leighton (1613-1684) said, ” All the peace and favor of the world cannot calm a troubled heart; but where this peace is which Christ gives, all the trouble and disquiet of the world cannot disturb it.” Better time management with the Prince of Peace, Jesus, is the antidote to an overloaded soul. Sit Down!
