Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds, you have been healed.”

Several have asked how the wound on my face is doing, well, I’m experiencing a miracle healing. After my devotional time this morning, I looked in the mirror, and I was absolutely amazed. It is still very clearly visible, but it looks like a long scratch on my face now. The way it is healing from the hours after it happened, it’s miraculous. Also, the numbness on the left side of the face, and around my mouth has all but disappeared! {Side note: I’m sure Richelle wishes the numbness around my mouth lasted just a bit longer, just saying).

Let today’s’ Advent Devotion be a celebration of this truth. Jesus Christ exited heaven to come to this earth to be born in Bethlehem. The Christ-child came to fulfill Isaiah 53:5 for you and me. Celebrate the miracles; you’ve had them! Celebrate even the smallest miracle today.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem, so By His Wounds, You Have Been Healed!
