Jesus came to the world as a baby described as our Almighty Lord and Savior, the Lion of Judah. Genesis 49:9-10 describes the Son of God this way: “You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion, he crouches and lies down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse him? The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.”

For so many people, the Christmas story has become a bit too familiar. Without even knowing it, we have begun to gloss over the truth of whom we should bring honor to in this season.  In my opinion, and it comes from my heart is this, we desperately need to once again open our eyes to why we celebrate this season, a season that should be all about Jesus. All of us need to worship Jesus with all of our heart, soul, mind, and body!

We need to do this in a new and fresh way so we can experience Christmas anew in our hearts and our families.
