Senior Pastor Richelle Smithee

“For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:8
Following Christ should look like something, which means our lives to others should model who Jesus is and was: love. We want our lives to be lived for Him, but do we look like love? Jesus isn’t after what we do; He’s after who we are; who we are flows out of our hearts, meaning that Jesus is after our hearts. In other words, He’s after our being and not our doing. When the being (who we are) is right, the doing (what we do) will happen naturally. Too often, our lives as Christians can look too much like roller coasters: happy one minute, sad the next, mad the next, and so on. But when our hearts are planted in Him, our lives produce the fruit that is from His Spirit no matter what’s going on around us. The only way to walk in love is to live by the Spirit.
