Part 2 The Bona Fide Life

Luke 5:4 (NLT) 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”

Luke 5:10 (MSG)  Jesus said to Simon, “There is nothing to fear. From now on you’ll be fishing for men and women.”  This Passage Is A Constant Reminder

Fear | Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary: fear can be a hindrance to the enjoyment of life.

Penned Truth: Fear of how people might react will cause you to  forget how much people need Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT) 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

1 John 4:18 (MSG) There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling…

Matthew 5:13 (MSG) 13 “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness?

Matthew 5:14–16 (MSG) 14 “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. 15 If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. 16 Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Ephesians 2:4–10 (NET) 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 5 even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you are saved!—6 and he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.  Chair

Finial Statement: Go. It’s the last command Jesus gave us in Matthew 28:18-20. In the church, we call it the Great Commission. And we also call it evangelism. Whatever you choose to call it, Jesus instructed you and me to do it.  At its core, the Great Commission, evangelism, is sharing the good news of your story; and that story is salvation, forgiveness, and grace. Without those things, we would all be lost without hope, without a savior, and would have to endure the consequences of sin—death. Remember this critical truth; evangelism is about God, who chooses to work through the entire church and not just a few in the church.
