A.T. Pierson- There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer.

WEAPONS OF THE ENEMY: DISCOURAGEMENT, DOUBT, CONFUSION, DISUNITY, DISTRACTION, AND FEAR.

Ephesians 6:10–12 (NLT) 10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Penned Truth: The Church must stand firm against the strategies of the deceiver (Satan) and stand and not move.

Mother Teresa- There’s nothing more calming in difficult moments than knowing there’s someone fighting with you.

Personal Insight: The church that the world loves is the one that does not care about rebuilding the spiritual walls.

Nehemiah 4:1–2 (ESV) 1 Now when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry and greatly enraged, and he jeered at the Jews. 2 And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of Samaria, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?”   More Words

Point #4 That God Wants Us To Understand

4. We have a common enemy, not different enemies, and they can be defeated.

Justice Bentil- Make it a point to turn your mind and your heart from everything that stands in opposition to your ordained purpose.

Revelation 12:11 (NKJV) “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Power your testimony

Luke 8:38-39 (EXB) 38 The man ·whom Jesus had healed [L from whom the demons had gone out] begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Go back home and ·tell [explain to] people ·how much [or what great things] God has done for you.” So the man went all over town ·telling [proclaiming] ·how much [or what great things] Jesus had done for him.

Testimony | Harper’s Bible Dictionary: evidence recalling particular events or deeds

Penned Truth: Testimony is also defined as an open acknowledgment.

1. Testimonies are a great tool of encouragement:

2 Corinthians 1:3–4 (ESV) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (MSG)  So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind.

2. Testimonies remind others of what God has done for them.

Penned Truth: People are more prone to believe real-life stories than Bible stories.

3. Testimonies defeat the deceiver’s plans and purposes:

Pastor Mensa Otabil- Blessings are released when you testify of the goodness of the Lord. What are you grateful to God for? Share your testimony.

Acts 4:33 (AMPCE) 33 And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all.
